Not at all!
Fresh means fresh whole foods like meat and vegetables that is gently cooked. We believe gently cooked food is the best food for the modern domesticated dog - they're easy to digest and has way more bioavailable minerals & nutrients for your pup to absorb.
Cooked food also minimizes the risk of dangerous bacteria & pathogens. For safe doggy kisses, fresh, gently cooked is highly recommended.
We use only the highest quality ingredients, of the standards that we would eat ourselves. No animal feed grade, ever. In fact, we taste test our recipes regularly. Most of our recipes are designed to be single-protein to ensure that dogs with allergies can still enjoy the benefits of our fresh food.
benni has no preservatives and isn't designed to be shelf-stable so you can be sure your dog gets only the freshest food with minerals and nutrients still intact. Read more on our high quality recipes and ingredients here.
It's already fully cooked so serve it right from the fridge (dogs can eat cold food!) or gently heat in the microwave for 30 seconds if your dog prefers hot food.
Because benni is yumsss and dogs should get more yum things. In all seriousness, fresh food is 3-4x heavier in weight than kibble. This is because fresh food contains natural moisture and whole ingredients. Your dog's benni bowl will be more digestible, satisfying, and hydrating - all without any artificial flavourings, preservatives, or bulking agents.
