why feed fresh
let's unpack the research
what's so bad about kibble?
Have you ever seen "meal" in your dog's food? Here's what it means: it could contain blood, hair, hoof, horn, manure (read: poop), stomach, in amounts that can occur unavoidably in good processing practices.
There's also been many studies uncovering mislabelling practices happening in commercial pet food. Here's the results: Almost 40 percent of the products had a meat that was not listed on the label.
It is also ultra-processed. Kibble is processed at extremely high temperatures that can produce carcinogens.
but what about premium, imported brands?
Here's the tea: Diseased, dead, dying, or disabled meat that is not allowed for human consumption, is legally allowed to be used in pet food if cooked at high enough heat and pressure.
